Nathaniel Edmiston Serene and peaceful. Lots of emotion goes into each of the pieces. Great album all the way from start to finish - use this as a soundtrack for daily walks, rituals, or contemplation. Favorite track: Reflector.

tonepoet This release is almost too good to be true. Every composition is so very well thought out and performed. There is no compromise in the beauty or intensity that was intended in this release. An album like this comes along every few years, and the music that this release contains is a timeless journey. True art from a mastermind of not only the art of composition but in understanding the role of instrumentation that develop the tapestries. 10/10 Favorite track: The Towns We Love Is Our Town.

another fine day Lovely, drifty, foggy, piano minimalism, with added strings and things, a definite cut above the usual. Highly recommended.

We Are All Astronauts Don't you just love it when you accidentally stumble on something that blows you away? Reminds me of the first time I heard A Winged Victory For The Sullen's self-titled album. Glorious.

about

Tomorrow Was the Golden Age is an album length composition by NYC minimalist ensemble Bing & Ruth. Written and conducted by pianist David Moore, Tomorrow Was the Golden Age is a halcyonic journey to a neverending place, where music waxes, wanes and drifts imperceptibly from silence to grand, glowing sound. Tomorrow Was the Golden Age achieves a canon-level quality for instrumental music inspired by the same intentions and practices that fueled works by Morton Feldman, Gavin Bryars, Steve Reich and Brian Eno.

Bing & Ruth New York, New York

Species, Bing & Ruth’s new album, will be released on July 17. On a surface level, Species is an exploration of the sonic possibilities of the Farfisa organ - aided only by clarinet and double bass. The record is a devotional to both humanity and humility, and an exploration of suspended time. ... more
